Our most "exotic" destination. In the heart of Canada's forests, closer to nature, experience a truly different kind of navigation. You will cross many lakes, some of which are more than 5 km wide with many islands where wild mooring is allowed. From Ottawa to Kingston, the Rideau Canal will give you a complete change of scenery.
On this waterway, here are the possible starting points : Smiths Falls.
We are specialists in houseboat rental, If this is your first river cruise and/or if you have questions about self drive river boats, do not hesitate to contact us, we are at your disposal from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm by E-mail or at 0033 230 96 08 57.
The locks are manual and maneuvered by lock keepers. They are open from 9h to 19h, from Friday to Sunday and public holidays. The rest of the week, they are open from 9h to 18h (from 10h to 16 before June 21 and after September 5).
The season opens from May 17th to October 14th. Navigation is easy and the course of the regular channel
Additional mandatory fees will be added to your reservation to cover overnight moorings at Parks Canada, Portland Harbor, Seeleys Bay, Perth and Westport. For other moorings, the supplement will be paid locally.
Ottawa Station (45 minutes from Smths Falls) and Kingston (20 minutes from Sellesy Bay).
Possibility of one-way between Smiths Falls and Seeleys Bay.
