The Homps base is the starting point for one-way river cruises on the Canal du Midi to Castelnaudary or Port Cassafières.

The ladder of locks at Fonsérannes (near Béziers) is very busy during the high season. Frontignan Bridge opens twice a day, in the morning and mid-afternoon.
