SELF DRIVE RIVER BOAT RENTALS FROM Lattes

- Car: Access A9-E15-E80 follow A709 Montpellier and take exit 30 Montpellier-Sud
- Train: Montpellier TGV station (5 km) | from Montpellier station: tram Nr. 3 to the center of Lattes. Then 10 minutes. walk to Port Ariane (to "Carrefour Market" and pedestrian path through the tunnel)
- Airport: Montpellier-Mediterranee airport (6 km)
- Supermachés in Lattes (closed on Sunday afternoon)
- in Lattes every Wednesday and Sunday morning
- At the Mas de Saporta (3 km) local products market, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6 pm to 10 pm, (July-August)
- From the Thau pond to Franqueveaux (on the Rhone canal in Sète), there is no need for a fishing map). After Franqueveaux, the fishing map is necessary and available at St Gilles or Beaucaire.
- On the Lez and the Canal du Rhône at Sète, the few locks are automatic. Warning: the drawbridge at Frontignan only opens twice a day (8.30 am and 4.00 pm) for a few minutes. The crossing of the Etang de Thau is prohibited by wind greater than 3 Beaufort. Most of the locks on the Canal du Midi are electrified, with lock keeper. On the Canal de la Robine they are automatic with a lock keeper for 4 locks. The locks are open from 9h to 12h30 and from 13h30 to 19h (HS) or 18h (BS). On May 1st, the locks are open only on Lez.
