Highlights of this river cruise on the Canal de Garonne
Starting from Buzet-sur Baïse, there are several routes available. You can either go towards Valence for a river cruise on the Baïse, to discover beautiful villages in a rolling area. Or go towards Toulouse to navigate through the typical South Western architecture. That is the route we are taking you on.
Let’s go for 191km of waterways from Castrets-en-Dorthe to Toulouse. There are 3 departure bases available in this area: Le Mas d’Agenais, Buzet-sur-Baïse and Agen. Make sure to bring your bike, the towpath is great for bike rides!

Rent a licence-free boat to navigate on the Canal de Garonne
The Canal de Garonne is the extension of the Canal du Midi and the navigation is as easy. It is perfect for beginners. During your cruise, you will pass automatic locks thta you will have to activate yourself with a rod suspended over the canal. There are three departure points possible on the Canal de Garonne: Le Mas d’Agenais, Buzet-sur-Baïse and Agen. Before boarding, you will get a 1h training to get used to the boat and the navigation.
