Self Drive river boat rental from Languimberg

On the banks of the Godrexange pond, an artificial lake dug by the monks during the Middle Ages for fish farming, the Languimberg/Pont du Houillon base is the starting point for river cruises on the Marne to Rhin Canal to Waltenheim.

The locks are automatic on the Marne-Rhine Canal and the Rhone-Rhine Canal. They are closed on some bank holidays. Locks are manual on the Canal de la Sarre.

Navigation on this region’s waterways is quite easy and perfectly suitable for a first canal cruise experience.

Car: Highway A4 exit Phalsbourg. After the roundabout toll, take the second exit RN4 direction Sarrebourg. Continue on RN4 until exit Metz / Chateaux Salins / Pays des Ponds on D955. Continue on D955 until the crossing of Diane Capelle on the right (do not take it). The port is 200 meters further on the D955 on the left.
