What’s the purpose of a river cruise gift card, and how does it work?

Give a CrisBoat gift card, a gift that’s anything but ordinary

Looking for an original idea? The CrisBoat gift card lets you give more than just a present, it’s an experience to live. Treat your loved ones to the joy of navigating a licence-free houseboat, whether for a weekend getaway or a full week exploring the waterways of France.

How does the CrisBoat gift card work?

Giving it is easy! Simply visit capcadeau.com/cris-boat, choose the amount you’d like to offer and, if you wish, create a group fund to give a shared gift. Then, select your preferred format: a digital gift card (sent instantly by email) or a paper card (to offer in person).

For the recipient, it’s just as simple and flexible: they can choose their destination, travel dates and boat from all available departure bases across France. The amount of the gift card is then automatically deducted from the booking directly on the CrisBoat website.

When’s the right occasion to give a CrisBoat gift card?

Birthday, wedding, Mother’s Day, retirement… there’s always a good reason to offer a river cruise. A houseboat holiday is the perfect opportunity to relax, disconnect and share special moments, as a couple, with family or friends.

What amount should you choose?

On Cap Cadeau, the recommended minimum amount is €400. This covers a complete cruise (depending on the period and destination), so the recipient won’t necessarily have to add anything. Of course, you can also choose a higher amount to offer a longer stay or a more spacious boat.

How long is it valid for?

The gift card is valid for one year from the date of purchase. No stress, the cruise can be booked later, as long as it’s within the validity period.

How to use the gift card?

The recipient simply contacts CrisBoat or fills in an online quote request, mentioning the gift card number. The team will then help find the perfect boat and destination, tailored to their wishes.
