Self drive river boat rentals from Seeleys' Bay in Canada


A treasure in the middle of 1,000 lakes, that's Seeleys Bay's definition. This small town is the departure point for a week or more one-way cruises on the Rideau Canal to Smith Falls.

The locks are manual and maneuvered by lock keepers. They are open from 9h to 19h, from Friday to Sunday and public holidays. The rest of the week, they are open from 9h to 18h (from 10h to 16 before June 21 and after September 5).

The season opens from May 17th to October 14th. Navigation is easy and the course of the regular channel

Additional mandatory fees will be added to your reservation to cover overnight moorings at Parks Canada, Portland Harbor, Seeleys Bay, Perth and Westport. For other moorings, the supplement will be paid locally.

  • Car: Coming from the North: Seeley's Bay can be reached from the north via ON-15 S, passing through Smiths Falls, Lombardy, Portland and Elgin. Arriving from the Southwest: Seeley's Bay is accessible via Highway 401, before taking ON-15 N. Continue on ON-15 N, cross the town of Brewer's Mills before turning left following the signs to the road Regional 47 / Main Street. / Seeley's Bay.
