SELF DRIVE RIVER BOAT RENTALS FROM Glénac
Glénac is a small village located less than an hour's sailing from the Gacilly, is an ideal starting point for a river cruise on the Nantes-Brest Canal.
The locks are electric and manned by lock keepers. They are always open.
Navigation is mainly on canals (except between Redon and Rennes). Easy on the whole, little current, few dangers, this region is perfectly suited for a first experience. Please note: due to maintenance work, navigation may be interrupted between Messac and Rennes. In this case, you will not be able to cruise to Rennes for the entire 2024 season.
Whether on the Nantes-Brest Canal or on the Vilaine River, mooring is only permitted in designated places and not along the banks.
